5 tips to prepare for your bridal session
1. Practice Your Dip, Spin, and Kiss:
Spend a few minutes practicing a romantic dip, a spin, or even a first-dance move. These little touches add magic to your photos and make you feel more confident during the shoot. I even had a couple tell me they practiced holding a remote in place of the bouquet too.
2. Coordinate Hair and Makeup Timing:
Schedule hair and makeup early to avoid feeling rushed. A trial run can help ensure you love the look and that it photographs beautifully.
3. Break in Your Shoes:
Wear your wedding shoes around the house or to a few events before the shoot to prevent blisters and feel more at ease moving during photos.
4. Pack Touch-Up Essentials :
Bring a small kit with a lint roller, blotting paper, lipstick, and a handkerchief to stay picture-perfect throughout the session.
5. Relax and Be Present:
Focus on each other and enjoy the process. Share some laughs, hold hands, and let your connection shine through—this makes for the most natural and beautiful photos.
Your bridal session doesn’t have to be perfect—it’s about capturing your real story, not a flawless fantasy. Embrace being yourself, even if it feels easier said than done. The best photos come from moments of genuine connection and joy, not from trying to make everything picture-perfect. So laugh, move, and have fun—these photos are about celebrating you as you are, beautifully real and uniquely you. I promise you will love your photos in the end!
